An artist at The Sign Shoppe for almost 11 years

What part of your job would most surprise people?
I have climbed billboards to take them down during hurricanes.

What advice would you give someone considering the same line of work as you?
It’s fun doing what you enjoy, although a lot of days are not too fun. But with anything you have to take the good with the bad.

Education:
I graduated with a BA in Art from UNCW.

Family:
I just got married to Bryan Hollis August 26, 2006. We don’t have any children yet, but we’re hoping to.

SJWC Member since?
I’ve been a member of SJWC since 2006.

Favorite thing about SJWC?
My favorite thing about SJWC is knowing that we make a difference.

Why did you join SJWC?
I joined the club to get more involved in the community.

What’s the most amazing thing about you that most people wouldn’t have guessed?

I don’t really think there’s anything amazing about me, but I guess a lot of people don’t know that I like to sing Karaoke.

What makes your home special?
I guess one thing that makes my home special is that I painted it myself, outside and inside.

Your strongest trait?
My strongest trait is honesty. I’m probably too honest.

Favorite sport? Team?
My favorite sport is Nascar. I pull for Dale Earnhardt Jr. I used to pull for Sr.

Book you’re currently reading or most recently read:
I just recently read Judge & Jury by James Patterson and Dear John by Nicholas Sparks.

Biggest pet peeve(s)?
My biggest pet peeve is a liar. I hate for someone to lie to me or about me.

TV program that’s a must-see:
Two must see TV programs are The Office & Grey’s Anatomy.

Favorite radio station:
My favorite radio stations are 101.3 & 107.5.

One day, when I have time, I’d like to learn:
One day, I would like to learn to tap dance, play the drums, and the piano.

Favorite travel destination?
My favorite travel destination is definitely Hawaii.

Favorite snack food?
My favorite snack food is potato chips and hot tamales candy.

My strongest childhood ambition was:
My strongest childhood ambition was to become an art teacher, but then as I got older, I didn’t have the patience for a room full of kids.

One food you’ll never catch me eating:
I am not a picky eater at all, but I will never eat pheasant again, and I’m scared to try sardines.
