Job:
I have two - *Full time Mom* and Director of Resource at For Kids Only CDC (I work with special needs preschoolers and coordinate their services.)

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Birth-Kindergarten Education from East Carolina University

Family:
Mark(husband), Teagan (2 1/2), Macie Ellen (5 months) and ALL of Teagan’s baby dolls that end up in my bed!

What part of your job would most surprise people?
The amount of paperwork that I have to do everyday and how hard it is to work with parents!

What advice would you give someone considering the same line of work as you?
Be sure to have patience, love, patience, compassion, patience, patience and even more patience.

What’s the most amazing thing about you that most people wouldn’t have guessed?
I have NEVER climbed a tree and was so prissy as a child that I would not touch the ground- I was a cheerleader for 3 years and could never do a cartwheel.

What makes your home special?
I have pictures everywhere you look. Teagan already has 21 photo albums!!!

Your strongest trait?
My sense of humor, being a true friend and a great mom.

Favorite sport? Team?
NASCAR-Tony Stewart…my brother died almost 4 years ago and he was a die hard Tony Stewart fan-so I took over for him.

Book you’re currently reading or most recently read:
Five Little Pumpkins, The Runaway Pumpkin, Plumply, Dumply Pumpkin and Peek-a-BOOO (the girls bedtime). I never read grown up books anymore!

TV program that’s a must-see:
The Biggest Loser, CSI and I love The Bachelor when it is on.

Favorite radio station:
I don’t listen to the radio much anymore but I love beach music and soft rock.

One day, when I have time, I’d like to learn:
Sign Language

Favorite travel destination?
Anywhere!!!!!!

Favorite snack food?
Potato chips and fresh fruit

My strongest childhood ambition was:
To be a teacher and a mom- mission accomplished!!!

One food you’ll never catch me eating:
Pig feet, liver, gizzards and I don’t like seafood.
