Arts Festival

Each year, the Shallotte Junior Woman’s Club sponsors a local Arts Festival to showcase the talent of local students. There are a wide range of categories, from literature onto visual arts, and most categories do not require that something be created just for this festival.
We pay cash prizes to first through third places and in most cases, the first place winners advance to district competition. District winners also compete in the State Arts Festival, held in Winston Salem in March, 2010. Please see the following attachments for more information.
You do not have to be a public school student to enter.
Deadline for entries is December 16, 2009.
Events like this Arts Festival and the many scholarships we give to high school seniors are supported by the fund raising efforts of our members. Our main fund raiser, the Stand Up for Charity Comedy Show, is coming up on January 2nd and tickets are on sale at Odell Williamson Auditorium for only $25 each!
